Parthajit Baruah: A member of FIPRESCI- India , Parthajit Baruah received Assam State Film Critic Award and also Prag Channel Film Critic award for Chalachitror Taranga (Film Theory) in 2010. His most acclaimed book FACE TO FACE : The Cinema of Adoor Gopalakrishnan by HarperCollins, was published in Sept 2016. His chapter- Reflections of Shakespeare in Assamese cinema appeared in the book Shakespeare and Indian cinema, published by Routledge.He did two research projects at National film Archive of India, Pune. He presented a paper in London, April, 2016 on Assamese Parallel Cinema.He had been at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland as a part of his research. He presented paper at Queen's University, Ireland in 2019. He was the guest speaker at Manipal International Media Research conference-2019, Dubai. His documentaries , Laxmi Orang: Rising from the grave, The Dhemaji Tragedy , Reema Panging, Nagaon-A land of diversity, NF Railways- LIFELINE OF THE NORTH EAST, Dinner with Vivek got acclamation.
