Reema Panging:
An Untold Story
It is a short documentary
of 14 minutes duration, made in 2015,
( June), directed by Parthajit Baruah.
Synopsis :
On the 58th
Independence Day, 2004 at Dhemaji College Playground, Assam, ULFA planted bomb that
killed 13 innocent school children. Reema
Panging who was there just behind those unfortunate 13 dead, was thought to be
dead due to her deformed face and so, she was taken to the same ambulance by
which 13 dead children were carried. But suddenly, a lady realized that
Reema was alive. With the passage of
time, she came out of her psychological trauma and faced them with courage to
lead a normal life. She becomes an image of courage, positive energy and life
force.Her love marriage, after the
blast, too is an example that speaks
of human relationship which sometimes remains undefined and unexplained.
